At some point your mattress is no longer your friend and its time for a new one. If you choose to throw away your old mattress in our dumpster, there is a fee. Why? The landfill charges us for mattresses. They are very slow to decompose, the springs often get tangled in the landfill machinery and they have gotten tangled under our trucks as well, leading to costly repairs. The mattress fee we currently charge is $20 and that is also the same fee for a box spring.
